About
This training provides a comprehensive examination of trauma and its impact on individual and community well-being based on SAMHSA standards. Participants will explore the definition of trauma, its effects on behavioral and physical health, and the core principles of trauma-informed care within The BLACK Collaborative’s care coordination model. The curriculum addresses harmful practices like seclusion and restraint while emphasizing dignity-centered care. Finally, the course examines the needs of vulnerable populations—including children, women, and frontline responders—to foster resilience and health equity.
