About
This training builds staff competency in the TBC perinatal mental health workflow. Staff will learn how to complete emotional wellness check-ins, administer or support approved screening tools, recognize referral thresholds, complete warm handoffs, document non-clinical support, and escalate safety concerns under supervisor guidance. The goal is to ensure that every family receives timely, culturally responsive, and nonjudgmental support. Since Black mothers and birthing people often face structural barriers to mental health care, this approach centers trust, choice, and safety to address symptoms including depression, anxiety, and trauma during pregnancy and the first year postpartum.
