Center of Eden
A Vision for Holistic Maternal–Infant Healing

The Center of Eden is envisioned as a sanctuary for maternal–infant health equity. It represents a future brick-and-mortar hub where clinical care, cultural humility, and community healing come together. This space will honor heritage while advancing health innovation—offering wraparound services designed to nurture families from pregnancy through early parenthood.

Community Care Closet Hub

Because every baby deserves essentials, comfort, and care.

The BLACK Collaborative Inc. – Newborn Care & Community Closet at The CENTER of EDEN

“Every newborn deserves a strong start.”

The BLACK Collaborative Inc. proudly presents the Newborn Care & Community Closet, a compassionate initiative located at The Center of Eden. This community-driven resource provides free newborn care and clothing items to families in need, to promote health, dignity, and equity for every child from birth. Through this program, families can access essential items, including infant clothing, diapers, wipes, baby hygiene products, grooming kits, and breastfeeding supplies—all at no cost. We are committed to supporting new parents during the beautiful but often challenging postpartum journey.

Parents with Newborn Baby

Support. Stability. Care—Rooted in Community.

The Community Care Closet Hub is a community-based support program serving pregnant and parenting families by providing essential supplies, education, and care navigation. We exist to reduce stress, close gaps in access, and ensure families are supported with dignity—without judgment or shame.

Our services are coordinated by trained Community Health Workers who walk alongside families, help them navigate resources, and connect them to additional support when needed.

How It Works

We operate as a care coordination and access point, not an emergency service or retail space.

  • Families submit a request for assistance

  • Our team reviews needs and current availability

  • We contact families to confirm next steps

  • Appointments or follow-up support are scheduled as appropriate

Who Can Use Our Services

The Community Care Closet Hub primarily serves:

  • Pregnant individuals

  • Postpartum families

  • Families with infants and young children

  • Families referred by community partners, providers, or social workers

You do not need to have received services before to request help.

Availability Disclaimer

Please note that all items are provided based on current donations and inventory. Availability may vary and is not guaranteed. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we strive to serve as many families as possible.
