About
The Clinical Breastfeeding Management Counselor (C-BMC)™ Program is HEAL Academy’s foundational professional training for doulas, community health workers, birth professionals, and aspiring lactation providers. This 95-hour certification builds strong clinical breastfeeding skills, culturally competent counseling abilities, and equity-aligned lactation support competencies.

Treat all members with respect, dignity, and professionalism. Harassment, discrimination, or harm of any kind will not be tolerated. Honor the lived experiences, cultural backgrounds, and identities of all participants.
Confidentiality & HIPAA Awareness
Do not share personal stories, case details, or sensitive information outside the group. When discussing clinical examples, remove all identifying information. Maintain privacy and adhere to ethical standards at all times.
Evidence-Informed and Equity-Centered Dialogue
Use respectful, equity-aligned language. Discussions must prioritize culturally congruent, trauma-informed, and inclusive care. Claims related to lactation or clinical practice should be grounded in evidence or best practice frameworks.
No Medical Advice
This group is for education, mentorship, and professional discussion—not direct medical care. Do not provide personal medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations to members or the public.
Active Learning & Constructive Engagement
Participate in discussions, workshops, case reviews, and learning modules. Ask questions, share reflections, and contribute to collective learning. Provide thoughtful, supportive feedback when invited.
Professional Boundaries
Maintain appropriate boundaries with peers, mentors, and faculty. Do not solicit business, private clients, or clinical services within the group.
No Promotion, Advertising, or Spam
Personal business promotions, advertisements, fundraising, or unrelated content is prohibited unless previously approved by HEAL Academy administration.
Honor Cultural Humility & Lived Experience
Remain open to learning, self-reflection, and bias recognition. Uphold principles of justice, cultural humility, and allyship in all interactions.
Intellectual Property Protection
Course materials, recordings, curriculum documents, and HEAL Academy tools may not be copied, distributed, or used outside the program. Sharing copyrighted materials without permission is strictly prohibited.
Commitment to Growth & Accountability
Mistakes are part of learning; accountability is part of professionalism. If concerns arise, members are expected to participate in corrective dialogue with faculty. Repeated violations may result in removal from the group.
